When I heard from this mom, she told me that her kids were 2.5 and 1, and that they'd never had family photos taken before, and it was about time! It was the brink of spring, the weather was far from perfect, the leaves had yet to emerge on the trees, and I asked her to push her kids past their bedtime for this first foray into family photography. And I'll tell you - they crushed it. The kids were a blast, mom and dad had fun, even their puppy joined us for a bit.
Most important, there is never a wrong time to schedule your first family photo session - whether your baby is just chillin in utero and you're planning a newborn session, or they're about to head off to college.
